The cheapest waste to get rid of is the waste you never send to landfill. That single idea sits behind everything our recycling division does across the Winelands.
When waste is collected and dumped as one mixed load, you pay to move it and you pay to bury it, and none of it comes back as value. When it is sorted first, cardboard, plastic film, glass and mixed recyclables each go back into the recycling chain instead of into the ground. That is better for the environment, and it is usually cheaper too.
Where the savings actually come from
Landfill costs are charged by weight and volume. Every cage of glass and every bale of cardboard you divert is weight that never hits a landfill invoice. On top of that, cleanly separated material has resale value, so a well-run sorting system turns part of your waste stream from a cost into a small return.

Setting it up on your site
It starts with a walk around your site. We look at what waste you actually produce and where it piles up, then place labelled cages, rocker bins and skips where your team already works, so sorting happens naturally rather than as an extra chore. Glass from tasting rooms, cardboard from deliveries and shrink wrap from pallets each get their own stream.
From there it is a simple schedule. We collect on the agreed days, take full containers away and drop empty ones back, and everything is sorted and baled on our X25 and H20 balers before as much as possible is diverted from landfill. You get a cleaner yard and a waste bill that reflects the effort.
